Wildcat Sailing is Oak Harbor Youth Sailing's high school aged competitive sailing team. Wildcat sailors compete in the Northwest Interscholastic Sailing Association (NWISA), one of seven districts of the Inter-Scholastic Sailing Association (ISSA). NWISA is comprised of active teams from Oregon and Washington and is the fastest growing district, with nearly 50 schools registered.

Wildcat Sailing practices in Oak Harbor and travels as far as Hood River and Portland Oregon, Seattle, the Olympic Peninsula, into the San Juan Islands, and as far south as California to compete at weekend regattas with 20 to 30 other teams and 100-150 sailors. The team competes in Club Flying Juniors and 420s, both of which are 14 foot, 2 person dinghies.

Open to all sailors grades 8-12, Wildcat Sailing is a great way to test and improve your sailing skills, meet other sailors from around the Northwest, and build leadership skills in a great team environment. Our new middle school team is open to sailors grades 5-8.
